Mitologie
Mitologie są subiektywną próbą
zobrazowania mityzacji świata
współczesnego wraz z jego przedmiotami
naszej codziennej konsumpcji,
oferowanymi przez rynek. Rekonstrukcja
mitu pomyślana w kontekście mitów
greckich. Rozpatruję mity wobec
współczesnych przejawów kultury masowej,
naszych wierzeń, wyobrażeń, przywidzeń,
mód…Pojawiające się tutaj rekwizyty
służą nie tylko mistyfikacji, ale są
również odpowiedzią na daleko posuniętą
trywializację mitów, mających kiedyś
wymiar nade wszystko sakralny.
Bo czyż nie jest faktem, zastąpienie
kościołów nowymi świątyniami
hipermarketów? Czy możemy nazwać
szaleństwem analogię przeprowadzoną
między najsłynniejszym pierwowzorem
herosa –Heraklesem a żywotnym dziś mitem
nadczłowieka –Supermanem? Czy rozkoszne
uśmiechy „reklamowych kobiet” nie
przypominają idei szczęśliwego życia
–mitologicznej Arkadii?
Ja postawiłam na jednej płaszczyźnie
czas miniony i obecny…takie subiektywne
zilustrowanie obu aspektów
rzeczywistości, może czasem troszkę
ironiczne…
Całość cyklu zrealizowana kamerą
otworkową.
Mythologies are a
subjective trial of showing the
mythology of modern world, together with
the objects of our everyday consumption,
offered by market. The reconstruction of
the myth, in the context of the Greek
mythology. The analysis of the myth in
relation to our beliefs, ideas,
delusions and fashions. Not only are the
accessories shown on the pictures the
measure for mystification, but also an
answer to much advanced vulgarization of
the myths which used to be perceived
mostly in the sacral aspect.
Is it not a fact that churches have been
replaced with new temples – the
supermarkets? Is not an analogy between
the most famous prototype of a hero –
Heracles – and the modern myth of the
Superman mad? Do not sweet smiles of
actresses in commercials resemble the
idea of happy life – mythological
Arcadia? I decided to join on one plane
the present and the past… a subjective
illustration of reality, perhaps a
little ironic…
